Who we are

The Creative Shift (ABN 82711690191) runs The Creative Shift. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. Contact: hello@thecreativeshift.com.au.

What we collect

Details you give us: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and anything you tell us when you contact us.

Membership and billing: your membership is run through Skool, which handles payments. We do not see or store your card details. Skool's own privacy policy applies to what it collects.

Betty: your email address, your access code, and what you put into Betty, including your Brand Brain, your content ideas, your chat messages and any metrics or files you upload.

Our website and emails: contact form details, basic website analytics and cookies, and whether you open or click our emails.

Why we use it

To give you access and run the membership, to answer questions, to make Betty and the program work and improve, to send emails you have asked for, and to meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run The Creative Shift: Skool (community and payments), Kit (email), Squarespace (website), Lovable (hosting for Betty) and Anthropic (the AI model behind Betty).

When you use Betty, what you type or upload is sent to Anthropic so it can generate a reply. Anthropic's terms govern how it handles that data. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it if the law requires.

Overseas

These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to choose providers that protect it.

Your work and Betty

We do not share your Brand Brain or your Betty content with other members or use it in our marketing. Please do not put sensitive personal information into Betty.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

Keeping and deleting it

We keep your information while you are a member and for as long as we need it afterwards for support, tax and legal reasons. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, including your Betty data, by emailing us. We will respond within 48 hours.

Emails

We send marketing emails only to people who have signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies for basic analytics. You can block cookies in your browser settings.

Under 18s

The Creative Shift is for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If you are in the EU or UK

You may have extra rights over your information. Email us and we will help.

Complaints

Email us first and we will try to fix it. In Australia you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new date at the top.
